Letter from the Chairman of the Parish Council
As you are aware, there are Joint Core Strategy www.gct-jcs.org and Borough Plan consultation seminars taking place throughout the Borough at the moment. Details of these have been emailed to you, posted on village noticeboards and on the parish council website and I would recommend that you consider attending one of these seminars.
As with any planning application you have a right to respond to the proposed strategy and you can do this online at consult.gct-jcs.org/consult.ti/system/listConsultations (you will need to register first) or by filling in a hard copy of the response form which will be available at the seminars. In addition, the Parish Council will place some of these forms in the shop in Dumbleton and each of the Parish Councillors will also have some.
I have also attached a copy of the proposed Borough Plan plus the Parish Council's responses to both the JCS and the Borough Plan and you may wish to use these as a guide. The more residents who respond, particularly to the issue of Dumbleton's ranking as a service village in the JCS, the stronger Dumbleton's case for have its ranking reduced will be.
Do let me know if you have any questions.
Chairman, Dumbleton Parish
